The restoration of the old Mondragon “Aprendices” Building has brought back a historic edifice that will resonate with melodies and musical rhythms, thanks to theactivities of Arrasate Musikal music school and the Goikobalu choral association.. Additionally, as part of the restoration project, a signage design project has been implemented to enhance the overall experience within the building.
Clear communication and seamless navigation are crucial elements for a harmonious and engaging experience for any building. The building has to be self-understanding. But when it comes to a music school, the experience had to also foster a seamless musical journey.
Taking this in mind, a comprehensive signage system has been designed, aiming to enhance the overall experience for students, teachers faculty and visitors alike. The new signage system blends functionality, creativity, and inclusivity to ensure clarity and harmony throughout the school

The signage has been designed taking into account various important factors such as font size, pictogram style, and color contrast to assure an inclusive communication. Also, the signage incorporates Braille and clear, legible fonts, in Basque and Spanish, ensuring that everyone, regardless of ability, can navigate the school with ease

As a school of music, visual representation holds significant importance. Hence, the signage for Juan Arzamendi Musika Etxea has been meticulously designed, taking into account the spaces while maintaining coherence with existing elements like the Goikobalu logo and the Arrasate Musikal logo. By incorporating musical elements, the signage aims to create an immersive and unforgettable experience.
