Honghe, in Yunnan province (China), is surrounded by amazing rice terraces.
The history of the terraces extends for one thousand and two hundred years and it has been the main inspiration source for the design of Honge Tram Line 1. Modernity and elegance are transmitted in the exterior design, while cleaning and originality are the main lines followed for the interior design. Rice terraces are represented by beautiful graphics on the side of the seats. This nice tram really invite passengers to travel and visit Honghe!

The design of this tram draws direct inspiration from the rice fields that define its surrounding landscape, translating their natural geometry and colors into a harmonious and contemporary aesthetic. The exterior features a soft green tone complemented by a flowing graphic that evokes the gentle lines of the rice paddies. Inside, this inspiration continues through subtle patterns on the seat sides. The handrails and ceiling structures adopt organic, curved forms, echoing the rhythm and fluidity of the rice fields. The result is a cohesive design that celebrates its cultural and natural context while offering a fresh, calming travel experience for passengers.
