DALIA, 1st mention of the jury.
A dahlia is a flower, but DALIA also means Digitalization, Accessibility, Lightness, Intelligence and Kindness for people and the environment.
With DALIA we seek to ensure that Madrid flourishes towards the desired sustainable future. Future where people must be in the center, being the priority of mobility operators, such as EMT Madrid.
The design of DALIA perfectly combines modern and technological style with a welcoming and sustainable style, creating its own identity, which provides personality and innovative positioning to EMT and Madrid.

The DALIA experience is lived as a sustainable and inclusive mobility ecosystem that accompanies people to move from the moment they intend to, until they reach their destination. The ecosystem made up of dimensions such as the App, the stop, the bus, the services… taking into account user needs throughout the entire experience.

The exterior design follows a continuous line with respect to the structural aspect of a bus, coexisting with the rest of the means of transport in Madrid. The EMT image is clearly recognizable through the striking graphics. The OLED panoramic screen stands out for its innovation and functionality, which provides information on: sustainable messages, signage, service information, customization of advertising campaigns… The back is also an interface which is low energy consumption, light and chromatically vibrant. Additionally, there are solar panels on the roof to power the secondary systems.

The interior layout is innovative, being configurable and differentiating into 4 zones: “driving” zone, priority zone, multifunction zone and “standing-sitting area”. The seats are ergonomic, made with recycled materials and customizable. In addition, they are electronically foldable, to be able to block the folding option in cases of maximum occupancy, and thus act as ischial support. The low-consumption indirect LED light, automatically dimmable depending on the outside climate, saves energy and creates natural and pleasant environments.
